Greetings James,

I found your Novel, The Immortality Connection to be a most unusual, engrossing and entertaining opus which skillfully weaves the supernatural into everyday life.

The development of your character Charley, a deeply frustrated wheelchair bound young man, who resorts to the super-natural in a desperate attempt to regain his virile lifestyle and full mobility - made me want to understand what was driving him.

The intriguing interplay that you developed between the obsessed Charlie, who tries to conceal his fantasy driven plans of immortality from his wife and from the private investigator she hires to stop him, ensures the story takes many confounding twists and turns along a highly dangerous path, ultimately culminating in an absolutely satisfying conclusion that explains all.

A great read.

To Jim Davis.

"The Immortality Connection, "an affair de coeur" of the supernatural and dark arts fables, where human chutzpa sees Detective Cameron Josey immersed in the malignant, but yet implacable and surreal underbelly of worlds spoken vociferously by only the very brave, of cults and human deception. Josey a relentless bloodhound, indeed an infidel - not for hire - premeditatively immersing himself into depths of human depravity where chicanery is very much the norm."

To Jim Davis

21st Oct

Having read your book, I have to say that I was very pleasantly taken up by this novel.

Wheel chair-bound Charlie paints a desperate figure, while his all loving wife is at her wits end.

From love trysts to travel abroad, shady characters etc. there are many twists and turns in this tale,

and some of them are quite enlightening.

Then along comes the detective Cameron Josey, who like a bulldog won't let matters rest, even though it takes him many years to solve the riddle.

The intriguing ending is very surprising, & leaves with the feeling of . . . . "will this really happen one day?"

But . . . . was it Charlie who did the right thing in the end? Was he right from the very beginning?

A good read, Jim.

Cheers and congratulations.

Once again Jim's easy clear style takes the reader on a trip. I found myself moving through the story alongside the Private Detective, unearthing clues when he does. As Cameron Josey wonders where the case is leading, so too does the reader, never once guessing the conclusion. The tension builds right to a surprise revelation.

I hope Jim has many more intriguing Novels up his sleeve.

Book review of THE IMMORTALITY CONNECTION

By Alan Harkness

Jim has an ability of injecting the reader straight into his story

and taking us on a ride as the story unfolds.

Jim takes the reader every step of the way through indelibly clear locations, every character's emotions, and the unfolding confusions and frustrations of the main characters as they strive to make sense of their predicaments.

I trust that he will have many more powerful stories to tell
